Companies that put their customers first will reply to you within 24 hours. Plus businesses that care about their customers will want you to be satisfied, so will produce better products.

* The interest they show in helping you is another good indicator. Sometimes when you call a company for help, the person on the other end sounds like they’d rather be at home or doing something else. This is one of the most annoying things a customer can encounter, because when you are up against an employee like this, you begin to have doubts about the company and its products.

* Do they have a good FAQ section in their web site? Part of good customer service is having a good FAQ section. The FAQ section often saves customers having to call the customer service department, freeing up people to consult on major issues.
