But what actually means the competition? About what is your online business opportunity competing? About customers, about the correct customers, about site traffic or about what? There is of course no straight answer, but you will get a guidance, if you look at your business plan.

1. If Your Online Business Opportunity Is Marketed With The SEM, You Have To Compete About Good Positionings On The Result Pages.

The higher you are on the result page of a chosen keyword, the better your site will get visitors. Let us say you want your site to get a position in the group of the first three pages on the result page. Is it possible, you ask?

To be able to get the answer you have to know two things. First, how the particular search engine puts the site in a certain order and when you know that, how well the present sites in top the three positions fulfil these requirements?

As you may know Google trusts on the links from other related sites to your site and also the quality of these links. This is an important information and now you have to research how many and of what quality the present links of the competing sites are.

The quantity is easy to get and the quality simply means the page ranks of the linking sites. After you have these figures you have to judge, if your online business opportunity can beat the worst of the present top three sites.

2. If Your Online Business Opportunity Is Planned To Make Money With AdSense, Your First Number Is The Income Per Click.

This marketing strategy is based on the AdSense income and thus the competition is for high paying clicks, i.e. you must optimize your site or page with the keyword, which brings the maximum amount of income per one click.

There must also be enough clicks per day per keyword, so that you will reach your targets. You can use a tool to be able to get this figure, because the more marketers are competing about the same keywords, the more clickers you have.

If you market with SEM, you have to make sure the chosen keywords are able to reach high positions on the result pages at the same time.

3. The Toughness Of The Competition Depends On The Marketing Strategy. Think about the different strategy choices and their competitors. The article marketing competes against other articles, PPC competes against other ads, SEM against other sites on the result pages, blog commenting against other commentators and the social media posts against other posts.

But these competitors are the first step ones. The final competition is about the minds of the final consumers. Is your online business opportunity able to persuade the potential customer to buy? Now we start to talk about the contents.

When you make a niche research and surf through different sites, do you think you can build a presentation, which can compete with these sites as to the look, the promise and the uniqueness of the present sites? If you think, that your site would be in the group of the present offers, would you be competitive?

We haven’t even begun to see how the internet is going to change the way business is conducted both in the US and around the world. Every year the amount spent on goods and services on the web increases by millions and millions of dollars. You truly can sell anything on the web if you understand marketing and finding customers. People would say that you couldn’t sell the ‘whaterver product’ on the web. Then one day somebody with a new marketing twist would set up a web site selling the ‘whatever product’ with a new technique. And before anyone knew what was happening, he or she would become the next online millionaire.

You can do the same thing but you need two ingredients. You need a marketing plan and your site needs a steady stream of customers, or traffic. Traffic takes a lot more work but it really is the easiest. For huge numbers of visitors you just need to get Google to love your site. Follow along to find out how you can apply this for a successful online buisness opportunity

Let’s say you are selling dog bowls. You job is to find a way to have Google send visitors who searched for dog bowls to your web page. The web surfer gets to your site, chooses a bowl he or she likes and buys it. It is really quite easy. The only missing piece of the puzzle is how to get Google to send search traffic to your site.

You can think of the web as a big popularity contest and Google as the busy body who always wants to know what everyone else is talking about. In the dog bowl example Google will send the people searching to site that has the most people talking about it. Of course, this makes sense. When a lot of people say you have great dog bowls then Google figures you site must have great dog bowls.

Likewise, if no one says your web site has great cat bowls then Google will not send any customers your way who search for cat bowls. Your site wins the popularity contest for dog bowls but not for cats. So if you get other web sites to give you votes for dog bowls in the popularity contest you will get dog bowl customers. If the other sites don’t vote for you in the cat bowl contest you will not get customers from Google looking for cat bowls.

One web site votes for another by linking to the second site. A link is an easy way for a web user to get from one site to another. You have more than likely clicked on links a few thousand times. They are usually blue and when you put your cursor on the words and click your mouse button you are instantly taken to another web page.

The great thing about links is the words used to build the link can be anything you want. This is good because the web site owner will use the words to let you know what is on the site you are clicking to. For example, if the link said Bob’s Website you wouldn’t know what the site was about and you probably wouldn’t click on the link. But if the text said Great Dog Bowls and you’re in the market for a dog bowl it makes sense to click on the link. The words that are used to describe what is on the page are called anchor text. Google views anchor text as votes in the popularity contest.

Google keeps track of the anchor text whenever one website links to another. Every time you get a link with the text Great Dog Bowls your site gets another vote for the term ‘Great Dog Bowls’. The popularity of your site for a keyword wiil determine how high you are ranked in the Google search result pages when someone searches for that keyword. The anchor text, or phrase, a searcher types in the search box is known as a keyword.

A keyword is simply the word or phrase someone types into the search box when they want to find some product or information on web. So if I want to purchase a great dog bowl I just type into the search box the term ‘great dog bowl’. Google has already looked at every website on the internet and determined which is most popular for that keyword. The search results then have the most popular site in the number one position and the other sites farther down depending on how many votes they get.

There is also a ranking based on the content of you site that plays into the search results, but it has very little impact on your search page rankings compared to the number of links or popularity votes you have. As long as your site is targeted to dog bowls the majority of your search rankings will come from the anchor text links other websites give you.
