Find Profitable Niches

Now that spring is upon us and summer is approaches it gets harder to sit down in front of a computer each day and perform the stuff essential to build a profitable home based enterprise. In the case of on line marketing, for example, creating content and creating one way links becomes less appealing when the outdoors beckons.

But these are the times when it can be especially crucial to honor your agreements with yourself. I know from my expereince as an internet marketing coach that the longer you allow things to slide the harder it is to start again and the longer it will be before you see results that will help to inspire you further. And, in the meantime, there is the boost in energy that comes from keeping your agreements, specially when it took some energy to do so.

One approach that is effective for me is to visit my favourite cafe, treat myself to a latte and put pen to paper there. At least I get to take pleasure in the outdoors as I’m walking. Of all the motivation techniques I have for developing my writing routine this one is my favorite. I find it very difficult to write in the home, no matter what the weather. It is the same with any chore I’m resisting. There are just too many distractions – too many excuses. However taking myself off to an environment I take pleasure being in works a treat.
