Finding Product Ideas

Just now I was closing some tabs that I had opened during the day (I dont always get to read them when I first open them. Anyhow one of them was Caroline Middlebrook’s blog.

Her story is interesting. “In September 2007 I quit my day job in order to follow my dreams of becoming an Internet entrepreneur. This blog is my record of that journey. My aim is to learn how to make a living online and transfer that knowledge to others through this blog.”

And she’s doing a great job with sharing her learnings. The blog is a very worthwhile read for those aspiring to an internet income. She writes clearly and comprehensively and goes further in self-disclosure than many of us would.

For example, Caroline shares her web stats and earnings for the month of March here.

Visitors = 21,776
Earnings = $2,071

… which is an impressive level of candor, but then she goes on to tell us the keywords/posts that brought most of her traffic, along with the traffic sources.

Two of her other blog pages which attracted my attention:

Finding Product Ideas Almost Guaranteed to SELL - I left a congratulatory post there for Caroline.

21 Do-Follow Social Bookmarking Sites That Actually Work (and how to bookmark QUICKLY) - has some good advice including a nifty Firefox trick to speed-bookmark any of the social bookmarking sites that are not included in Socialmarker.com’s free service.
