We all use the internet for all sorts of reasons but it was only a short while ago I discovered I could get paid for filling out surveys online. A friend told me about it initially and I was a little suspicious. I wanted to know all about it and I asked my friend why anyone would decide to pay me for my views.

I have been doing this for a few months now and I can't say it has made me rich. Once in a while I use the money to treat the family to something a bit special. Sometimes you get a few dollars and other times it's not so much but it varies from company to company. The surveys don't take very long to complete and I do quite enjoy the feeling that someone is interested in what I think.

It isn't hard to see why they are prepared to pay you. Large companies want to know if new products will be successful but they also need to check what people think about current products too. You may get asked about all sorts of products or sevices and they may ask your opinions about politicians or make-up or anything else. If you don't have an opinion about something or simply don't know anything about it you can usually answer 'don't know'.

I enjoy getting the extra cash though you may not get any surveys at all for a while and then get several come through. I like to fill out surveys when the kids have gone to bed and I find it a relaxing thing to do.

I think everyone should cconsider doing this because it is such a simple thing and you can do it any time of day. Everyone has a view about things so why not get paid for telling people what you think. I have seen people saying you could make lots of money by getting paid to fill out surveys and I guess that is possible. Personally I think you would have trouble finding enough surveys to make it a full time job and I treat it as a bit of fun that brings in some extra money now and again.

Companies know that the fastest way to get the facts about what people think of the products or services they offer is by using the internet. The company would pay a survey company to prepare a survey that asks what they need to know and then ask it's member panel to answer those questions.

A survey would then be offered to individuals who fit the company’s profile of a potential customer for this particular product or service. A reward of some cash is the usual way a company would incentivize people to complete a survey. Some of the paid online surveys offer money or gift certificates and occasionally they may offer a prize draw to all who complete the survey.
