It should go without saying, but there is a very common pair of problems that will almost certainly torpedo the chances of getting an article published. They are bad spelling and bad grammar/punctuation.

Unfortunately, just because these are very common problems does not mean that they are easy to avoid problems, especially for writers who are writing in a second language. However, do not cut corners when attempting to get your grammar/punctuation and spelling correct. The more correctly you can craft your articles in these technical aspects, the more easily your article will be accepted.

Further, even if you somehow manage to get an article published with poor spelling or grammar/punctuation, weakness in these areas will undermine your credibility in the minds of your readers.

You don't need perfection, but do strive to do the best job you can.

Good post .. Also would like to note that article marketing takes time and effort just like anything else you do. It can be very effective if done properly, yes.. Many though fall into the trap of just submitting articles to thousands of websites and then expect a rage of traffic.

Submitting quality articles is only part of the battle… You must make sure you have a quality resource box, quality products or services you are promoting, bookmark your articles, submit your RSS Feeds, and etc. It take a great deal of time but if you be persistant in what you do then you will see rewards..
